Terms of Service

Welcome to Everbound. These terms are an agreement between you and Baker Shop USA Incorporated(“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using everbound.philiplaney.com, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

Who can use Everbound

You must be at least 18 years oldand able to enter into a contract. Accounts are for adults. If you create a book about a child, you confirm that you are that child’s parent or legal guardian, or are otherwise authorised to provide their details, and that you consent to us using those details to create the book. Please only enter information you have the right to share.

Your account

Keep your login details safe and don’t share your account. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at hello@philiplaney.comif you think it’s been used without your permission.

How the magic works — and its limits

Everbounduses artificial intelligence to write stories and draw illustrations from the details you provide. Because it’s AI-generated:

• the content is provided “as is” and may contain mistakes, oddities, or unexpected results;
• results vary, and two books made from the same details won’t be identical;
• please review a book yourself before you print it or give it as a gift.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Everbound to:

• create content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual, or that exploits or endangers a child;
• impersonate someone else or misuse another person’s details;
• infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
• break, overload, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service.

We may suspend or remove content or accounts that break these rules.

Who owns what

Your inputs are yours. The details you provide remain yours. As between you and us, you own the personalised book generated for you, and we grant you the right to keep, view, print, and gift it for personal, non-commercial use. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, generate, and display your book and to operate the service.

The platform is ours. Everbound, its name, design, software, and the underlying “house style” belong to Baker Shop USA Incorporated. These terms don’t give you rights to our brand or technology. AI-generated outputs may not be eligible for copyright in every jurisdiction; we make no promises about the copyright status of generated content.

Printing, Kindle export, and payment

Right now, the “order a printed copy” and “export for Kindle” options are a waitlist, not a purchase. Choosing them simply lets us record your interest and email you when they’re ready — no charge is taken and no order is placed. When paid features launch we’ll publish additional terms (including pricing, fulfilment, and a refund policy), and those will apply to purchases from that point.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Baker Shop USA Incorporated will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Everbound and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing hello@philiplaney.com. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or if we stop offering the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Baker Shop USA Incorporated is organised, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we make a material change we’ll update the date above. Continuing to use Everbound after a change means you accept the updated terms.
