A few little worlds we've dreamed up
It started as a wish at bedtime — new stories whenever we wanted, without another trip to the bookshop. Then my daughter came to me with an idea of her own. Everbound didn’t write a book about her; it took herstory and gave it real craft — a five-book arc so moving I could read it to her every night.
We chose the characters together, Studio Ghibli meets Quentin Blake, and when she saw one she went quiet and said, “That’s exactly what I wanted.” Now it’s hers to keep forever — printed on the shelf, and with us wherever she goes. It’s the closest we’ve felt.
